For most of its history, from the early 1800s through the 1940s, the town of Vernon had its own newspaper. The Vernon News, Vernon Courier, Vernon Transcript and the Vernon Times. 

After decades without, we felt it was time for more local news for the greater Vernon community, including Vernon, Verona and Sherrill.
